The Highland River Group (Ashley Furniture) is looking for a Retail Store Support person to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI.

This is a unique and exciting position working in our Ashley retail store located at  5157 W Main St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Our Retail Store Support Associate works directly with our Visual Merchandising teams to choreograph the perfect welcoming retail furniture shopping environment for our guests.

The Key Responsibilities for the Store Support role Includes:

• Prepping, building, and assembling furniture
• Unloading and loading merchandise
• Stage and maintain showroom & warehouse furniture
• Prepare sold items for shipping to Distribution Center
• Load customer purchases into their vehicles
• Assist in inventory management and tracking
• Cleaning duty examples: sweeping, wiping down counters, door handles, bathroom maintenance, etc.
• Other duties as needed to maintain the optimal store environment for our customers, and team members.

Requirements for Success:

• Able to have fun
• Be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, stand and walk frequently
• Have good communication skills
• Be able to work independently – without constantly being managed
• Enjoy working with people
